OBOW Light Travel Forum > Garment bag with backpack straps

A reader in Russia has requested advice on a garment bag that he can wear on his back. He works in a bank (wears a suit) and rides a motorcycle to work. He has found the High Sierra Tri-fold. Any other ideas? I do know that Tom Bihn is working on a garment bag but I don't know how it is configured.

He might be able to wear the SkyRoll on his back, or modify it to work as an across the body sling setup.

While I have no personal knowledge of this bag, I found it on the net:

I have it on good authority that the TB garment bag is likely to have backpack straps.

Here's one to check out. It might be exactly right!

The High Sierra brand Tri Fold Garment Bag is like most garment bags except that it folds in threes instead of in half, and once folded, can be carried like a backpack with its backpack straps. If it means you don’t have to carry two rolling uprights (one for your clothes and another for your laptop), all the better.

Dear Brad, Jeff, Buzz,

Thank you so much for your answers.
I have looked through your links, and found out that Tri Fold Garment is still the best choice at the moment.
I'll try to explain why: The Bugout bag is soft (at least at the picture), and I am afraid that my t-shirt will rumple as I reach my destination point. SkyRoll might be an option for long journeys, when you do not want to put something behind your back (it might get hurt in couple of hours), just put it in a motorcycle bag.
For 40 minutes everyday trips TriFold still (IMHO) the best way to keep your suit and t-shirt in the best fit.
Also I have visited Tom Bihn home page. Telling the truth, I have never heard of him before. I liked his bags. Looking forward seeing his garment bag as it is finished.
