One of the best parts of our new website will be our brand new Reader’s Fourm with categories. No more one space for everything. But I’m looking for suggestions for categories. This is the place where you’ll be posting. So far, we have:

What's the difference between Travel Bags under Travel Goods and Gear Reviews under Travel Tips? Seems like sort of the same thing. If I want to see discussion about a particular bag (or type of bag), I wouldn't want to have to check two different forums.

Also not sure what the difference is between General Travel Questions and Travel Tips.

I think you should add a deals and sales forum, for posts about special deals going on. Otherwise those will get lost in Travel Bags or Items for Sale. I'm assuming Items for Sale is really about readers wanting to sell items, not sales at retailers.

Where would I post questions about finding the lightest / smallest item for a product that is not really a travel accessory (perhaps like a camera or headphones or whatever)? Would that still be under Travel Gadgets and Accessories?

When you get to the actual forum, each category has an explanation as to what goes there. That will probably answer most of your questions.

It probably does need its own forum. I originally was going to include it in Travel Accessories & Gadgets but it really doesn't fit there.

Technology as a category under Travel Tips. I follow a few tech/nerd sites for technology, but they tend be high on theory or seem to have an unlimited budget for toys. The tech-tips found on this site are normally real down to earth

What I'll do is change "Gear Reviews" to Travel Products and in the description say: Tell us about any travel products, gadgets or gizmos you've used and whether you've liked them or not. Full gear reviews are fine.

I don't want too many categories or it will get confusing.
