OBOW Light Travel Forum > Osprey Porter 46 Guidance

Looking for advice on using Osprey Porter 46. I like the basic design but am concerned about the lack of external space for the liquid bag, paperwork, etc. How have those of you who use the Porter 46 dealt with these issues?

Thanks

There is a forehead pocket (not the correct term, I'm sure) at the top of the bag that we used for our 3-1-1 bag and our boarding passes plus sunglasses and a couple books. Plenty of room even if you stuff the main compartment. The zippered slash pocket on the main flap is another option but I found it a bit tedious to undo the compression straps each time I wanted to access it. I hope this was helpful. We've never regretted traveling with our 46. It's a great bag!

I do the same thing as JohnEye. The "forehead pocket" zipper is parallel to the grab handle on the shorter side of the bag & is visible in many of the promotional photos. It is perfect for quick access to a 311 bag.

The top pocket expands into the interior of the main compartment. It works ok for those quick access things so long as you haven't stuffed the main bag too much at the top.

Shlepn - otherwise do you like the bag?
