I found a few places where the EC Adventure Weekender was back in stock at the current sale price of $112.50. I know a few of you were looking for it:

I recently returned a black ECAW to Zappos which had a small ripped or badly sewn seam in the interior compartment. While the return was free and handled expeditiously, the bag had the defect clearly marked with a tag when I received it. So either EC or Zappos QC was not up to snuff.

I enclosed a large note alongside the bag alerting them to the defect so this should not be one of the 2 bags being offered for sale.

I didn't reorder because I decided that I liked my Patagonia MLC better.

I am waiting for delivery of an EC Weekender. Looking for a bag for a one week trip to London. What is it about the MLC you prefer?

Hi James, it just worked better for the way I pack. One large compartment rather than two. I also like being able to stick a folded sport coat or parka in the rear laptop compartment. Easy to store or retrieve without opening the main part of the bag.

I did like the organizer compartment on the EC bag and the way that it hangs down vertically rather than at a tilt like the Paty. Both are great bags slightly smaller than maximum carry on size. My last trip on a commuter jet I was one of two passengers who didn't have to gate check. All the rollers ended up in the hold. I suspect the ECAW would have passed muster as well.

The MLC is overdue for an update so maybe that will be soon. Hopefully they relocate the handles to the center of the bag. Otherwise I may try getting MEI to make a custom bag for me.
