I have the shirt for you: a a CoolMax travel oxford from TravelSmith - and the price isn't bag compared to ExOfficio shirts. Comes in four colors.

I bought two Columbia Sportswear high-tech travel shirts that do dry very quickly but are rather skimpily tailored and also rather hot... and expensive. My best find was at Walmart! Very lightweight Puritan sports shirts for $8 a piece. They look nice, dry even quicker, and actually wrinkle less -- excellent travel shirts. Found great quick-drying nylon socks there, too, that were also dirt cheap. Lesson -- there are good, sometimes better, workarounds out there for the "official" travel items.

Absolutely - one of my mainstays is a 60/40 dress shirt that dries very quickly. You just have to test before ;you go. If the TravelSmith oxford is quick-drying and cool it still might be a good investment. Some "travel" shirts are definitely hot.And some will eat your neck; those are the worst.

I really like the Exofficio Trip'r shirt. They're on a great sale at Sierra Trading:

Check out Tilley shirts at Tilley Endurables. Most are a poly/cotton blend that you can wear, wash, hang dry, and you're good to go in the morning. I wear them almost exclusively, and find they last much longer than other brands.

I was wondering if there is an alternative source for the CoolMax travel oxford that has been available from TravelSmith. I called them a few days ago and I was told that these shirts are no longer available. Thanks.

That might be tough. There are some products made from Coolmax - like jeans - that they seam to be the only source for.

I just received a CoolMax travel oxford from TravelSmith. Seems very nice and looks a lot more businesslike than the exOfficio shirt I have. Button-down collar, normal looking pockets, no vents, just a regular shirt. The material is a bit of a coarse weave, but acceptable.

Any suggestions for oxford-style button down shirts for men that are wrinkle resistant and dry quickly after sink washing? I find these style of shirts can do double-duty both for casual and dress-up.
