Just saw this 7-inch, $99 laptop. Perhaps a cheap competitor to the EECs? It's VERY basic, but what do you expect in a $99, ultra portable computer?

I suggest you consider looking at a Treo 650 or 680. With a folding bluetooth keyboard you can type your travel reports, email them off, browse the web, watch movies/listen to MP3's from a 4gb SD card tucked into the side. I always have 15-20 books I want to read all stashed in there so I never take paper books. An all-voltage charger and a Euro adapter has worked in EVERY country. Plus they're a GSM phone, and while data charges (web, email) will eat you live, texting is nearly free.
