A recent comment on one of our ealier Eee PC posts:
Yay, the 9” EeePC is here, and with the larger battery. I’ll get one in a week or two (and take pics), depending on how the price drops - currently it’s at best $519 (Linux), which is pretty good. I doubt very much the 901 will be here before I leave.

It's here alright, under my fingers right now. I broke down and got it sooner; prices seem static and availability is somewhat patchy. First impressions are very good indeed.
I havee one and love it (XP version). Added a folding keyboard from Tabletkiosk, a mini USB mouse found for $10 at TJMaxx, a car/airline charger. It all fits nicely into a Eagle Creek padded half-cube for a whopping 3.5 pounds.
