First look at TB Tristar

Here’s a teaser photo of the Tom Bihn Tristar - an undersized three-compartment carryon. It’s dimensions are 20 x 13 x 8 (505 x 330 x 205mm), falling between the Western Flyer and Aeronaut. Read more about Tom’s soon-to-come bags here.

I can't wait to see the full pics of the prototype. It looks to me like it will have a 3-sided zip compartment on the front side and the back side, and then maybe a top loaded middle compartment?

Eric, I found the side pocket intriguing as well. Maybe its for laptop accessibility? Tom usually comes up with a new twist - we'll see. The side zip may be for stowable backpack straps.

I really hope it has backpack straps. That's one of my favorite features on my Aeronaut.

I have only recently discovered Tom Bihn bags, but I love their style. As I am a designer (albeit in a completely different area of design) I appreciate their attention to detail and fine design. Everything is so carefully thought through. I'm looking forward to seeing the new bags, and yes, I hope it has backpack straps too - I wouldn't buy a bag without them. Its my preferred mode of carrying stuff.
