Mil-spec convertible

Here’s the largish, bargain-priced convertible carry-on recently discussed in the Forum (thanks to Desmond):

Interesting - reminds me a LOT of my older generation RS convertible
carry-on (save the more military touches) Size wise it's spot on too.

I bought this bag when staying in the UK because I couldn't really justify the price of an MLC or similar (as it will only have occasional use). For a $50 bag (£31 UK) I think this is good value. It's reasonably light (although not particularly 'stiff' in terms of keeping it's shape) and the build quality seems okay. It's plain and looks fine in black but it doesn't really exude the quality of, say, a Patagonia or other high end bag. If you want something that's cheap for occasional use (as I do) it seems fine. If you're going to use it 365 days a year and want it to last for years I image you're better off with something a bit more expensive. The materials and build look fine but are clearly not going to last forever.
