We see the photos but there's no explanation. He added. D rings? For what purpose?

The "D-rings" serve a few purposes. I'm an amateur photography and my wife is a painter. I can use the rings to connect miscellaneous equipment to the outside of the bag, tripods, easel, etc. I can also hang extra travel articles to the outside of the bag by using external compression straps I got at the Army surplus store

Also, I got the rings in hopes of me figuring out a system to carry the bag in backpack mode, which is the Achilles heel of the bag. I'm working on that now. A previous thread discussed using backpack straps from a golf bag. I liked their idea, but you are limited to always using the bag in backpack mode. I want to use it in both shoulder and backpack mode. So, I am going to give NeoTech's Mega accordian straps a try. I got them at a music store for half price, they are thick neoprene (thicker and longer than the Tom Bihn's strap), and I can use my AirBoss in backpack mode or shoulder mode with them. Of course, I would have an "extra" strap in shoulder mode, but it doesn't take up much space, so I'm not worried about it.
