Campmor Essential Carry-On Has Returned and Gone.

According to the Campmor website, the Essential Carry-On is back.

Campmor Essential Carry-On

I continue to be impressed at the cost / value ratio on
this bag. It's hard to argue with $30 ... even with the
enormous Campmor logo. I imagine a black permanent
marker would fix that.

I don't currently need any bags, but this is tempting ...

Happy travels ~

I have one of the original ones (without the huge logo) and I only used it for one trip before my wife "borrowed " it. Since then, it's been to Europe several times and has held up very well. It's a great bargain.

I own the logo-less essential carry on but have never used it.
I greatly prefer the materials and build quality of the $ 35 Red Oxx Small Aviator Bag http://www.redoxx.com/Small-Aviator-Bag/91011-sm/product
I think Red Oxx intentionally left off the shoulder strap to not directly compete with the much more expensive AirBoss which is made with the same ballistic nylon shell, YKK zippers and craftsmanship.
I added two D rings ( for $ 15 ) and the Absolute shoulder strap I already had and I find this is now an excellent bag for all of my travel needs and at an incredible price. Maybe this solution would work for others too.

I guess your comments and recommendations do carry a lot of weight. Maybe you should run for President this term. I have learned a lot from this site. I have TLS weekender and goodhope bag both bought cheap and waiting anxiously for more on the how to series. Thanks.

I know I bought the bag this morning because of your recommendation (and those on the forum). Thanks so much for your wonderful advice! I second the enthusiasm for future installations of the "How To..." series!

Apparently this bag has a cult following LOL

FWIW I managed to pick up my eBags Weekender for a little more than the Campmor ECO a few years back. I no longer have the order confirmation to give a specific dollar amount but I'm quite certain it was no more than $45. eBags often has sales, plus I got a promo code by opening a Google checkout account for the purchase. Just thought that I'd put that out there for anyone in need of a bag sooner rather than later.

Looks like they are back again. I just ordered one from campmor, and they still appear to have more in stock.
