Chase BA Visa Dropping Foreign Transaction Fee

Like many other cards, the Chase British Airways Visa Card charged a 3% foreign transaction fee on all purchases made in currency other than U.S. dollars.

Effective this month, Chase is eliminating the fee on that particular card and joining a few select other cards, like Capitol One, who don’t charge it either.

I was wondering if you have a source on this? So I can double check that my card is included in this offer.

It's only the Chase British Airways Visa card that is exempt from foreign transaction fees:

Here's the email I received:

We want you to be among the first to hear about the end of foreign transaction fees for British Airways Visa Signature® Cardmembers. There is nothing Cardmembers need to do to enjoy this benefit. This is great news for everyone hoping to save money while travelling abroad.

And here's a link to the story in USA Today:

Ah, thanks for the update. I didn't realize BA was British Airways.

My error...I'll change it to British Airways. I'm just so used to referring to it as BA I forget to use the full name. Sorry.
