Netbooks so yesterday

Story here. I’m passé already. Maybe I’ll glue my Touch to my netbook. Then I’ll have a full-time touch screen.

I already got one:)
And I'm typing my response on it. I use a Macbook Pro for video production, but for the last two weeks, this is the only computer I've been using for most of my work, research, and presentation creation.

Can't wait to travel this summer with only this in my one bag!!

I've read "rumors" that some folks were developing a netbook that is nothing more than a shell (keyboard/trackpad/screen) and you just plug your smartphone into it. Not sure if it will happen soon, but it seems likely that such a thing will eventually come out.

Re: Smartphone plugged into netbook....My Moto Droid has a free app called "pdanet" that allows me to hookup my phone to my laptop (either with usb or bluetooth) and use it as a wireless card. Works great when there is no wifi available like when traveling in the car.
