Lews & Clark Lockdown Triple Security Lock

I recently started using the Lewis & Clark Lockdown Triple Security Lock.

This TSA compliant lock is lightweight and  can serve multiple purposes.

It was originally designed to foil thieves who know how to open locked bags via the zippers then covering up their tracks. To do this, you connect  the larger loop through the luggage handles and the smaller loop through the zipper pulls.

Retails for about $12.

In a recent forum posting, someone asked about using locks on an L.L. Bean Quickload. Here’s how I use this cable lock on that bag:

You can also secure bags together or one bag to a fixed object.

The 3-dial combination is resettable.

now all we need is a non-TSA compliant model (since we're one-bagging, no reason the TSA needs to be able to get into it, and I'm sure TSA keys are making the rounds with thieves)

I don't see how this works. Someone can still pop your zippers. They just can't cover it up anymore. So what? My stuff is gone by then.

True, if a thief really wants your stuff, he will get it. However, and this is something no one is getting: A thief is not going to pop your zippers in public. They are only going to do this when no one, I repeat, no one,is around. (Another reason to never check a bag.)

So, if I'm on a train, or a plane, and I leave my bag for a moment to use the loo, considering my true valuables are going with me in my daybag, the thief is not going to get up, and in front of everyone else, pop the zipper. It will draw too much attention.

Now, if it isn't locked, he might try to get something out because most people won't pay attention to a fellow passenger opening up a bag normally.

If I'm walking and I have a bag that is locked, and someone nearby has an unlocked bag, the thief is going to go after the unlocked bag. Why...because they don't think..."Gee, that locked bag must have something valuable inside." They think: "Which is the easiest bag to get into."

Mine arrived this week. Since I use a Quickload also, it should work well. Thanks.

How do you reset the combination if you forget it (as I have)?

My suggestions would be to contact the company and have them send you instructions:
