Bag Warning

Lately, we’ve be spammed by the people who make the Carmazzi 1bag and friends of theirs. Eventually, they contacted us about trying to be professional and asked if we were interested in reviewing the bag. When we tried to respond, every email sent to them was bounced back as undeliverable.

Recently, there has been another person on this board who I knew was associated with the company but he did not mention it so I allowed him to stay. Now, he has finally started to “ask questions” about the bag even though his own blog only talks about the bag. And anywhere the bag is mentioned on other websites, he’s there.

This is underhanded marketing and it makes me wonder just how above board this company is if they have to play these games.

I’m not saying the bag or the company is good or bad, just letting people here know of the situation.

Not sure I'd give them a chance, especially after having the site spammed as a first introduction to Carmazzi, not to mention the bounced email, disingenuous posts...... However, I understand the realities of running essentially an open forum. So, I'd favor letting them post at least initially. If there isn't full disclosure, let the community (or moderator) call them out.

I appreciate you posting this info for everyone. As far as I'm concerned, a company that does not commit itself to the highest of professional/business standards is less likely to make a product of high production/quality standards for the end user. Positive or negative, I don't think they deserve the presence on the first page of your blog! I just want to give a shout to all the top quality bag makers (TB, RO, MEI) for awesome products and incredibly professional service to boot.

I like hearing about new products but, I don't want to risk credit information being stolen if an order were placed, or computer viruses from a dubious seller, future spamming, etc. I rather resent having to waste time skimming and then trying to skip over their various product plugs on this forum if all they want is free advertising space. They can always prove their good faith by submitting a reimbursement to OBOW for the advertising already submitted without permission;) Failing that, block them.

Thank you Frank for putting this guy in his place (and discouraging him from ours). The confusing thing was that two different "Robins " seemed to be posting at the same time. I think that one of them was a genuine poster and the other that was touting the Carmazzi bag was a fake.

Looking at their blog site, they obviously promote it as a "laptop bag". No sense in even considering it for travel. In addition, the pictures on the website and videos are horrible.
