How safe are hotel in-room safes?

I saw this video on Gadling and thought it would be of value to everyone here:

Fun. Got to try that at my next hotel.

Even if the default password isn't the one in the video, I'm sure there IS one, or some other way for hotel employees (maybe not all of them, but some) to get in.

So the question is... the safe's not so safe, and a 1-bagger doesn't have that much stuff to hide important things in/under... what IS safe if you need to leave valuables in the room? Or maybe instead of safe, 'less likely to be found in 30 seconds'?

I think it is default password. it will be changed on every new guest in the hotel room. And there will be a master key to open it.
