World's Shortest Scheduled Flight

There are always arguments about what is the longest scheduled airline flight in the world. But how about the shortest? According to the Guinness Book of World Records, it’s between Westray and Papa Westray in the Orkney Islands. How short? Well, here’s a video of the entire flight from takeoff to landing:

20 seconds to take off.
90 seconds flying over.
45 seconds to land and taxi.

I guess you just hold your luggage in your lap.

I wonder what they charge for that flight. :)

£15 round trip if you stay at least one night.
£21 round trip for the same day excursion.

In case you were wondering, check in for the flight is at least 10 minutes before departure.
Passengers can carry on one bag, not one and a personal. It must weigh less than 13 lbs and no larger than 15.75" x 13.75" x 7". There is also 33 lb checked bag limit.

The flight is on an eight passenger, twin engine airplane with one pilot. There is no meal or drink service. No toilet.

Probably the only place where you can run for the plane while it's taxiing to the runway.
Trouble is, up in the Orkneys, you really are at the mercy of the weather.

LOL. There are some people on flyer talk who have this for their personal bag; of course, most of them use wheeled so that would be too heavy. On the other hand, a number of us would be able to carry on easy peasy.

Considering how sea sick I get when I use the BC ferry from Vancouver (Tsawwassen) to Victoria (Schwartz Bay), this flight would be my only option.

Why that's nothing, I've taken flights where I arrive several minutes before I left. Of course the return flights always seem to take unnecessarily long...
