Airlines cut legroom in coach

If you’ve flown lately and it seems your legs are more cramped than normal, you’re not imagining it. Most major airlines have installed thinner seats and added more rows. Just how bad is it? You be the judge:

 Legroom Crunch

Prejudice against those of us who are tall. We are no longer welcome on most flights and we're told so by the banging our our knees and the pinch of our seat. Ugh!

I'm tall for a woman, but under 6'. I sometimes find my knees jammed up against seat in front of me. It's hell for the rest of my family who are all taller and about half are over 6'. People don't realize that being taller also means you're proportionately wider (most times) too. So a narrower seat is as big a deal as less leg room.

It makes me laugh during the pre-take off safety videos......get into the crash position. In some of those sardine seats, bending forward at all is nigh on impossible!!
I never used to be claustrophobic on planes, I am getting that way these days, if the flight is longer than 2 hours I have to seriously concentrate on relaxing.
Give me a ship or a train anytime!

so.....to the extent possible use sites such as seatguru and always try to find the best seats, usually emergency rows (and the second emergency row if possible). there are ways to get 'better' seats without paying on many airlines.
